Investigating Soil

 This week we have begun an investigation into the layers found in soil. 

First, we collected soil from a range of sources around school.

Then we placed the soil into a jar containing water. We shook the jar to mix the soil and water.

We have left the jar standing to allow the contents to settle. In a week we will study the results and look at the layers that have formed within the jar.
