Science: Forces and magnets

Year 3 are learning about forces and magnets this half term. Last week, we investigated how friction affects movement of objects on different surfaces. The pupils tested their scientific thinking skills by considering a fair test, accuracy and observing patterns in their results.

If you would like to assist your child's learning at home, investigate materials which are attracted to a magnet and those which are not. Ask your child why they think this is.
