Maths Learning: Number Bonds and Inverse
Both Year 3 Jays and Wrens have a busy week of maths learning coming up. The pupils will be learning some key concepts which will strengthen their arithmetic skills. We'll be learning all of the number pairs that add together to make 10, and that make 100. Also next week, we'll be increasing the children's understanding of inverse calculations. This essentially means that you can do the opposite operation (add or subtract) in a calculation to check answers or to find missing numbers. See the picture below which shows this:
