Year 3 homework
This week's spellings:
- running
- chatted
- drummer
- nodding
- tapping
- sobbing
- shopped

- hummed
- slipping
Next week, your children will be put into spelling groups and they will be told their corresponding colour. This will also be written in the planners.
This term our focus is the 3 x table. Please could children use https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button as a fun resource to help learn their tables. Enjoy!
www.topmarks.co.uk About Hit the Button. Hit the Button is an interactive maths game with quick fire questions on number bonds, times tables, doubling and halving, multiples, division facts and square numbers. |
Each week children are expected to read 3 x a week with an adult. This doesn't have to be the full book, just little and often to improve fluency. After your child has read each page, please ask them questions to assess understanding of language and the book. After you have read with them, please write in the planner on the corresponding date and your initials next to it. This will be checked several times throughout the week.
Examples of questions:
How did the reader feel? What does this word mean? Can you replace this word with another word and it still make sense? What do you think is going to happen next? Can you summaries what you have just read?
Thank you very much for your on going support in Year 3.
